...WINTER WONDERLAND!...

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! I'm posting a series of photos of our winter wonderland. Big storm last night. Beautiful day today! I had my "Border Patrol" (Niecy Mae and Buddy Boy, our Border Collies) with me on the photo shoot this morning. As you will see, they are hams and got in front of the cam on more than one occasion during the shoot! LOL! I hope you enjoy all the pics!

Here is our "Buddy Boy". He was a stray. But for years he's been ours...or we've been his. Whichever way you'd like to look at it. :O)

And this is our Niecy Mae. She is my dog. Or I am her human. Again...Whichever way you want to look at it. I am her sidekick and she is mine! :O) She is 11 this year and really starting to show her age. But she's got the heart of a pup! For sure!

...We will sell Woodstock Sunny McZip...

Hello everyone. I'm guessing those of you who frequent our site and have watched our horses throughout the years about fell off your chair when you read "We will sell Woodstock Sunny McZip". :O)

As I'm sure many of you know...We've been cutting back on our mare-herd size, so as to make more time for our family. Deciding to get even more drastic with our cutting back has been a decision we have come to through a great deal of serious discussion. We have come to feel, because of our need for more time with our young family, that we are no longer in a position to have the depth of breeding program that we have had throughout the years.

With that in mind we've come to realize that our great horse needs a more suitable home than what we now offer. He needs a home where he can continue to make his great mark on the Paint Horse Industry.

We will consider selling Zip into 'the right home'. We will not let him go to just anyone, just anywhere. It will have to be a situation that we feel is the absolute right place for Zip to be. With great people, in a great home. That doesn't necessarily mean...big and fancy. It means a place we feel good about in our heads and our hearts. An agreed upon number of future breedings (for us to use) will be part of the sale. The home we will pick must be either geographically close to us, or one (if it is across the country) that is proven capable to ship semen to us. It must also offer an outside breeding program and have national advertising (in print and/or web site) as part of its breeding business plan.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this horse. He's been healthy, sound, easy to clip, haul, bath, shots, worm...etc. He's easy for us to collect. We don't even use a mare-in-heat to tease him to. Often times we put a pregnant mare in the stocks for him to look at while preparing to collect him.

In terms of how easy he is to collect...My 76 year old mother and I have collected him by ourselves on occasions when my husband couldn't help me. He's a good good boy with a super disposition! Easy to handle. GREAT minded! He's turned out for the winter now (just being a muddy/hairy horse) with our little girls' old geldings just over the fence from him. He's just like one of the old (gelded) boys. There is only a single electric wire that separates them. Zip is very respectful of it, even with 'company' across the fence. He's just a really really good good boy! Oh, and did I mention HE'S A GOOD BOY??? LOL! Perfect stallion to handle!

Please know and respect the fact that we are very busy people. Our young family keeps us hoppin'! So PLEASE, if you have no serious intentions of owning a World Champion Sire, please do not inquire. Our time is limited and we need to save it for our family and serious prospective homes/buyers for Zip. PLEASE!...No tire-kickers.

If you are a serious buyer, please CALL me at... 208-746-7443 or 208-791-9531. I will accept phone call inquiries only. No email inquiries.

Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

Tina

Today's Art Fun!!!

Good evening to you all! I felt compelled today to sit down and put pencil to paper. And here is what I came up with. This is a sketch of one of my little girls. I thought I'd share with you.

Also, I've put Ima back up for sale. I need to cut back on atleast one more mare to free up more of my time. You can see her (Pardon Ima Conclusion) on our "Broodmares" page. I've got her priced right and will even consider an offer into the right home. She's a WONDERFUL, SWEET, BIG mare that is FOR SURE an excellent producer. You can't go wrong with this mare! :O)

Happy day to you all! (((((hugs)))))
Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

Sincerely,
Tina

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!

Good morning to you all! Another beautiful Idaho morning here! Well, atleast I THINK so. It is still dark out. Right now I can only see darkness and the lights of town off in the distance. But, I'm sure it is crisp, cold and will be awakingly beautiful once the sun turns up. :O)

Life has been crazy around here. (Yeah, what else is new. LOL!) The holidays have kept us very busy. We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with some of our family in McCall, Idaho. McCall is steadily becoming a world reknowned summer and winter destination. It is just a few miles from the (already) world reknowned Tamarack Resort in Donnelly, Idaho. We are blessed with incredible sites and activities here in our lil' ole' Idaho.

So...Are you all ready for Christmas??? Shopping all done??? :O) I'm sure not and mine is sure mine! LOL! I think I'm waiting until that very last minute so I can run around like a crazy woman and add more chaos to my life (like herding 4 little girlies, 7 years old and under, isn't chaos enough). LOL!

I noticed from the date on my last post that it has been far too long since I posted in here! My goodness, time flies! How can it be December already! I've been so busy busy busy with many things...family, horses, family, horses, life in general AND working on Woodstock Western (my new online store) when I can.

Speaking of the store. I just designed a new clock that I'd like to introduce to you. The image on the clock is of our darling mare "Playgirls Pin Up". Here is a sample...

You can click the images above to visit the sale page. What a wonderful gift for a horse-lover! I just ordered one for myself. It should be here any day. "Merry Christmas to me. Merry Christmas to me. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas to me." LOL!

Well, dear friends...I better get back at it! Looking out my office window, I can see the horizon off in the distance now. That means the sun is raising its shinin' head! Well, maybe, from looks of the sky, it is tucked behind a few clouds. But, I'm heading out to feed horses and break ice off water troughs anyway. Fun! :O)

Happy day to you all! (((((hugs)))))
Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

Sincerely,
Tina

EXCITING NEW VENTURE!

I am excited to annouce that I have launched a new product line!

I've had so many nice compliments from wonderful folks over the year on our horses, the photography on our web site and my artwork (which I don't display much of) that I decided to offer it to the public in a fun and unique way. So on that note...Woodstock Western Wares was born as an extension of Woodstock Paint Horses.

This new brainstorm of mine is in it's infancy, but will, hopefully, grow into even greater things!
Please, visit our new store by clicking HERE

or here...

Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

Tina

NEW PICTURES OF CARAMEL AND FROGGY!

"Caramel" (Woodstock Caramel Pop) is feeling much better. She's back on her feed again and eating great. But we've still decided to keep her home and not go to Triple Crown. We don't want to push her too hard and have her get seriously ill. She's too precious and valuable to chance it! I shot new pictures of her yesterday with the help of my wonderful momma Velma Armstrong. You can see them HERE.

I'm not sure how many of you remember "Froggy" (Woodstock He Iz Fine)??? Well, he's an amazing gelding that we raised. He's now in the hands of Jimmie, Linda and Jacob Harrison and is burnin' up the show ring! He won two APHA World Show Top 5's and a Top 10 this year. He's also leading the nation in Open 3 Yr Old Geldings, is currently 6th in the nation in Amateur Geldings and is currently 15th in the nation in Youth Halter Geldings! And he was raised right here in our lil' ole' world class backyard. LOL! You can see him HERE.

Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

Sincerely,
Tina

Saturday 10-6-07 (5:10pm PST)

Frustration!

Well, this week has not gone as planned. "Caramel" (Woodstock Caramel Pop) has been off her feed since the Spokane show (last weekend). She's also suffering from a cut on her leg. She's lost too much weight to be competitive in the upcoming Oregon Paint Horse Breeders Triple Crown Futurities. So, we've decided to pull the plug on it. We'll not be attending and competing with her.

I can't tell you how disappointing this is for me. I've been working my tail off in preparation for this big show/futurity. It is the crowning moment for the Northwest Paint Horse industry (for weanling futurities). But it isn't meant to be unfortunately. Oh well. Since, this was our last show, she'll now be turned out for the winter to 'be-a-horse'. I'm sure she'll enjoy her time off. :O)

Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

Sincerely,
Tina

Tuesday 10-2-07 (6:45pm PST)

I'm baaaaaack!

Thank you for your patience in waiting for me to climb back up the ladder of 'sight'. LOL! I am now about 6 weeks post-surgery. My LASIK surgery went very well. I can see! I can see! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaa! I've had glasses and/or contacts since the last day of 3rd grade! Wow! It is amazing to be able to see without anything IN or ON my eyes! Yaaaaaaaaaaa hooooooooooo! :O)

Fun news!!!
WOODSTOCK CARAMEL POP is now a Multiple Futurities Money Earner! It was a long hard road and in a field of older and more mature fillies, she did well! Good job Caramel! You can see her HERE. I didn't get a show picture, because the ones the show photographer took were poor at best. :O( Poor positioning, bad ear set...etc. So, I didn't spend the money on them. I'll try and shoot some new ones of her myself soon. On the weekend of October 12/13 we are headed to Oregon Paint Horse Breeders Triple Crown. Hoping she'll do well there in the Mid Weanling Futurities Futurity!

Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

Sincerely,
Tina

Speedy on his way to Pennsylvania!
Tina having surgery.

This weekend we delivered Woodstock Tick Tock to our hauler's place in Montana. It was an exciting trip over! We had to drive through a forest fire with a police escort. We almost missed getting through. Right after we got through, they shut down the highway. We were actually driving past flames right above us on the mountain. Just hundreds of yards from us! Scarey! But we made it through safely and got Speedy delivered safe and sound! After dropping him off, we then went to a campground at Flathead Lake and camped for a few days with our girlies. We had great fun! We rented a boat and tootled around the lake for a day. The girlies loved it!

I've checked with our hauler a few times and Speedy has faired the trip (and layover at his place) well. This morning they loaded up and started their long journey across this great country that we live in. They'll be arriving in Pennsylvania in a few days. Speedy will then start the rest of his life in a GREAT home! Can't wait to see what the future brings for him! Thank you again Heather Spotts for taking our great BIG man into your home!

Now about my surgery...
I am having LASIK surgery (on my eyes) tomorrow (8-21-07). I've become alergic to my contacts and struggle with my glasses and not being able to wear sunglasses, nor see in the rain (with raindrops all over my glasses...LOL), nor see while swimming...etc. So, I'm going under the laser tomorrow and HOPEFULLY I'll come out being able to see. I've been wondering if I come out BLIND "How will I edit my web site???" LOL! Anyway...I will be incapacitated for awhile (resting my eyes) and will fall behind on my emails, web site...etc. So, please, forgive me if I'm late (or don't get you answered back). Just email me again. Or check back for updates on our web site. Thank you for your patience! :O)

Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

Sincerely,
Tina

Peanut Butter, Jelly Bean AND Speedy SOLD!

CONGRATULATIONS J.C. and Valerie Alacoque of Salter Pepper Paints in B.C. Canada on your purchase of Woodstocks Goldnlocks and She Willy A Woodstock. The fillies are now at their new home and will be shown on the circuit in Western Canada and the Western U.S. and beyond! Watch for them at a show near you!

Woodstock Tick Tock has been sold to Heather Spotts of Pennsylvania. (CONGRATULATIONS Heather!) We'll be delivering "Speedy" to the hauler in Montana (while on a family trip that direction) in a couple of weeks. He'll then make his way across the country to his new Northeastern home. An area of the country we don't have any "McFoals" in. This is very exciting for us, because...Not only is Speedy going to a new neck of the "Woods" (pardon the pun), he's going to be in an 'all around' home! Yea! So far, people have only used our babies in the showring for halter. But they are excellent athletes as well! This will be one of our first to head into the 'performance' ring! We're excited beyond words about this!

Woodstock Sunny McZip is a TREMENDOUS athlete and it will be exciting for us that one of his kiddos is going to go show the world what these Woodstocks can do UNDERSADDLE too! Yea!

Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

Sincerely,
Tina

CLICK HERE to see about 8 minutes of Speedy (Woodstock Tick Tock) on the longeline. This is a large file. Please be patient. For this footage I just pulled Speedy out of his pen, banded his mane and we started shooting. He had no warm-up. You'll see he's really coming along. Yea Speedy!

    Now for the BIG news!!!...
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hoooooooooooooooooooooooo eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Our new mare "Playgirls Pin Up" is IN FOAL TO WOODSTOCK SUNNY MCZIP for an April 2007 "McFoal"! This poor lady came from a really bad situation and was on her way to starvation. We have been incredibly blessed to have "Pin Up" find her way into our little horsie home. Through careful and calculated nutritional care and physical rehabilitation, we've got her on the road to fitness. Yea! Folks, this mare is amazing! Absolutely, amazing! Her poor body has wilted under the pressure of her old injury and the horrible care she had during the short stint at her last home. But, she's coming back and we're fully confident (with our vet and our farrier behind us on this) that she is going to have a long and healthy life and bring some fabulous babies to us. She's a DREAM-COME-TRUE mare for me! If she was not in the condition she was in when I found her, I could NEVER have afforded her. But it was as if it was all meant to be. Now she is ours and she has a forever home that has nothing but her best interest at heart! See her on our broodmares page HERE.

Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

    Sincerely,
    Tina

    Sincerely,
    Tina

    Friday 6-1-07 (2:00pm PST)

    Speedy New Pictures!!!

I have posted lots of new pictures of Speedy HERE. They are of him on the longeline!!! I had the end of his longeline in one hand and the camera in the other. Boy, lemme tell ya...THAT was quite a challenge! LOL! But it made for some great photos! Probably some funny ones too, if someone had been shooting a camera at me trying to juggle all that I was juggling. LOL! I'm sure I looked like quite a dork. Thank goodness Speedy is such a good boy and kept his mind on business and did exactly what I asked of him. Gooooood boy Speedy!

You know, he's only been on the longeline (counting today) 13 times. And he is EXCELLENT! Man Oh Man, what a student! He's so willing and so smart and tries so hard! And he's a pretty mover to boot! So what a fun project he's been!

See you at the Oregon Paint Horse Breeders Triple Crown Futurity in Walla Walla, Washington on June 9th and 10th with Jelly Bean and Speedy. Jelly Bean will be in Open and Ammy Halter and Speed Buggy (our pet name for him...LOL) will be in Open and Ammy Halter AND Longeline! Remember...Don't be shy...if you see me, please step up and say 'hello' if I don't see you first. :O)
Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

    Sincerely,
    Tina

    Sunday 5-31-07 (4:45pm PST)

    Jelly Bean New Pictures!!!

I have posted a couple of new pictures of Jelly Bean HERE. Please, go take a peek. Sorry for the poor resolution on the profile shot. We got a new camera and I haven't figured it out. I think I have it set on low resolution and can't figure out how to change it! LOL! But Jelly Bean's pose was so nice, I figured a little 'blur' was excusable. :O)

We'll be at the Oregon Paint Horse Breeders Triple Crown Futurity in Walla Walla, Washington on June 9th and 10th with Jelly Bean and Speedy. Jelly Bean will be in Open and Ammy Halter and Speed Buggy (our pet name for him...LOL) will be in Open and Ammy Halter AND Longeline! Man, OH Man, can this boy lope! GORGEOUS! If he can stay nice and relaxed, I know he will do a beautiful job. BUT...He's never longelined off our ranch! LOL! He's only practiced in his pen and our arena! LOL! So, HOPEFULLY, he'll settle in well at the show and grind down nice and quietly into the arena ground. Lopity, lopity, lope. :O)

Can't wait to see old friends and maybe make some new ones at the show. Don't be shy...if you see me, please step up and say 'hello' if I don't see you first. :O)
Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

    Sincerely,
    Tina

    Sunday 5-27-07 (9:15am PST)

    Updates!!!

I have posted a couple of pictures of our new mare "Playgirls Pin Up" HERE. Poor thing was an absolute mess when she got here. Skin-over-bones for sure. These pictures don't show how bad she really is/was. But, she's on the gain now and happy to be here. The story of how we got her, what we had to go through and what her situation was is a crazy one. I'll spare you all the details, as it would take me too long to type it all. Please, just know that Pin Up is now in a great home here with us and she is VERY MUCH loved and cared for. Her leg injury was a bad one. But with help from her breeder (Christina Linton) and her previous owner (Debbie Kaser), we're going to be able to continue caring for her in a good fashion and hopefully, add years to her life. THANK YOU Christina and Debbie for all of your help! We GREATLY appreciate you!

I have been working on Woodstock Tick Tock (Speedy) and have him in halter condition AND have been training him for longeline as well. He's a great student! We'll be showing him in both Halter and Longeline on June 9-10 in Walla Walla, Washington at the OPHB Triple Crown Futurities! We do have him for sale. Please, keep him in mind if you know of anyone looking for a superb Youth/Ammy Gelding! He'd be GREAT for the job! See him HERE.

I've also been working on Woodstocks Goldnlocks (Jelly Bean). She too will be showing at the Triple Crown in June. She's our big YELLOW Halter girl! Wow! Big, beautiful filly! Because of needing to generate more funds for our budget, we'll consider selling Jelly Bean. She's eligible for PHBA registry as well. This could be a PHBA World Champ???!!!

I'll be taking new pictures of both Speedy and Jelly Bean soon. And I'll try to sneak in some shots of Peanut Butter and Caramel too. These two weanlings are fabulous too! WOW! Stay tuned!

Thanks and have a greaaaaaaaaat day!

    Sincerely,
    Tina
