Welcome to Woodstock Paint Horses
(our "World Class", yet small, friendly, family Paint Horse hobby). APHA Palomino/Overo Reserve World Champion Halter Stallion and Reserve World Champion Halter Sire, Woodstock Sunny McZip, is part of the important foundation of our program. "Zip" and his "McFoals" are winning at top levels throughout the Paint Horse industry! A most HEARTFELT "THANK YOU" goes out to Tim, Dena, Jay and Mary Ann McLochlin ("McLochlin Show Horses") for raising and selling "Zip" to us in 1998. We have so appreciated all that "Zip" and you have brought to our lives! Thank you dear friends! |
Each year, we raise a few "McFoals" out of a select group of mares. We've been incredibly blessed with the quality of babies that we're getting! In just a few short years, our stallion has really made his mark as a sire! We juggle horses and family and have found it to be a rewarding and exciting blend! We appreciate the opportunities and experiences that a life-with-horses offers our young family. An added blessing that has emerged from our journey through the Paint Horse Industry is the many new friends that we've made along the way. Thank you to everyone that has helped make all that we are doing a little more fun! We've appreciated the support, the laughter, the tears, the cheers....all of it...from all of you good people!!! If you have not already, come and join our "McTeam" and enjoy, with us, the rewards that one of our "McFoals" can bring to you and your horsie-family! Let us help make your "World Class Dreams Come True"! Please enjoy your visit! Best Regards, Rick & Tina Woods P.S. Many have asked us where the "Woodstock" name came from. Here is the story...Late one cold January night, in 1998, we (Tina's parents included) were huddled in the barn marveling over a newly born foal. (Rick and I were to be married that upcoming July.) My father broke the peaceful silence at the stall with a quiet "You know, you ought to call your horse business Woodstock Paint Horses, because your last name is going to be Woods and horses are stock." Thus, Woodstock Paint Horses was born that night! ![]() |
