This colt was in our "Name A McFoal" contest! Congratulations, Alex Meyer (North Carolina, USA) on submitting the winning name!!! See our "McContests" page. He is so cute, we thought he was a GIRL, when he was
born! His granddam "RH Misty Te" is a full sister to "RH Tecontender", the star of the Disney movie "Hidalgo". . Artie was injured as a weanling. As per suggestion by Washington State Veterinary Hospital vets, we turned Artie out to pasture in hopes that he would heal from his injury. Although he was not 100% normal, he was able to get around well and had an incredible desire to survive and thrive. Once we felt he was stable, we offered him to the public for free. A wonderful gal, Nancee Utter, welcomed Artie into her home. She set about to rehabilitate him and did an incredible job. Artie is now living a wonderful life with her in Indiana and has rebounded well enough that he is enjoying light riding. Thank you Nancee for taking care of our Art-man! MORE PHOTOS BELOW. |
